[Eliza hums to herself a little as the train leaves the station, heading on for whatever's coming next. In the room she and Zack share, she's lining up several knives, turning them over in her hand. Aelfryth, Reepicheep, and Blaggut are sitting on the table as well, also looking over a selection of knives and small swords.]

[He just opens the door and wanders inside while Crown bolts through the doorway to his little corner of the bed where everyone sleeps.

Zack seems to be drawn in by the impressive selection of blades.]

Woah... Nice haul ya got there. [so many fancy knives...] You got all this from the swordmaking place?

Yup! My crew here wanted some swords of their own, and I figured I should also get a few throwing knives for myself.

I didn't want a sword... [Blaggut sounds awkward about it, even as Aelfryth and Reepicheep continue to present him with various options.]

Sweet... [He picks up a throwing knife and looks it over, not really minding Blaggs at the moment.]

Never really thrown a knife before... [He glances over at Eliza.] You?

I've been practicing, in the Meadous! I can hit targets pretty well by now, too! [Eliza has a grin on her face.] I've got good teachers there. [Teachers with a very poor sense of proper levels of teenage responsibility, but quite frankly she doesn't mind that.]

[Zack's grinning back. What is teenage responsibility, anyway?]

Oooooh... Think you could teach me some new tricks? I'm used to stabbing things up close, but throwing knives at people sounds fun.

Sure! I started out with darts, but knives are pretty different anyways! Do you still have that Fav plushie? We could use it as a target!

... Yeeeeeah. About that? I kind of left it in that smoldering crater in Menahoven.

[Damnit, Zack.]

[Well then. She considers a bit more.] I did get a giant bag of popcorn...I suppose that might hold up for a few throws at least.

[zackthekiller]

[And Crown perks up on the mention of popcorn.]

Maybe! But where are we gonna hang the thing without fucking up the train?

I guess we can wait until the next stop and find somewhere there...there might be better stuff to use as targets there too. I can teach you how to hold a knife first, though.

... Alright, sure. Already know how to hold a knife, though.

[telecosmetic]

Yeah, but you've never thrown one, right? You've gotta hold it somewhat differently for that!

[zackthekiller]

You do?

[He wants to learn more.]

Yup! [And she'll hold one up to demonstrate the proper grip.] Plus, knives for throwing are kind of designed differently, so that they can fly further and all that.

Huh...

[He attempts to grip another throwing knife the same way she is...] Am I doing it right?

[telecosmetic]

Hmm...let me see your fingers. [She'll shift his grip slightly.] When you hold it straight, it shouldn't feel like it's going to tilt up or down.
