Player Age: 30

Character Name: Eliza Owens
Canon: Pokemon OC (MGRP/We the Lost CRAU)
Canon Point: Two years after WtL endgame
Age: 18, technically aged up since I haven't actually played out her post-game adventures
Species: Human
Journal: [personal profile] telecosmetic
Permissions: Newcomb-specific ones

Goals: Eliza wants to become an accomplished Pokemon trainer, and uncover all the various secrets of her home region. While she does want to try and challenge the Elite Four eventually, she's willing to take her time with that. She also wants to continue training her illusion powers, and to make her parents and various mentors proud of her. Part of her also wants to make Contests a popular type of competition again, and become famous in that field.

Morals: Eliza is fiercely loyal to those she loves, and will readily die for them. Even towards strangers she's always ready to extend a helping hand if asked for her help. In general, she thinks of kindness as her first resort, unless the person she's facing is actively hurting or scaring someone she cares for. However, thanks to befriending a bunch of murderers, she has a much more blase view of murder, and sees it as something that can be justified, as well as not seeing it as a reason to hate someone. Even if the victim is someone she likes, she'll probably get mad but not completely reject the killer-unless she thinks their motive is really stupid. The one thing she does consider unforgivable is specifically framing someone else to take the fall for your murder.

Struggles: Eliza has often struggled with reconciling her love for her friends when said friends hate each other for various reasons. While she used to try and not take sides, thanks to her development she's more willing to think things over, and tell her friends if she thinks one of them is being dumb about it. She also used to struggle with accepting her illusion powers, having a childhood delusion about them being full-on telekinesis when she was simply creating images of what she wanted to happen, but with Ienzo's mentorship and training she's come to accept them and start training said abilities properly. The main struggle that she's still not good at is knowing her limits and when to take time for herself instead of constantly pushing herself to help.

Position: Student
Explanation: Eliza's learned a lot, but not quite enough to be an actual teacher yet. She was a very diligent student for Ienzo's illusion lessons for the duration of WtL, so I think she'd be willing to step back into that role and continue learning more.

Introspective Writing Sample: Eliza let out a yawn as she made her way into her new dormitory, immediately flopping down on the bed. As powers were coming back, she'd tried to reach back towards the Meadous, but was unable to feel the presence of Zephyr's portal. She supposed it kind of made sense, since the portal was back in her own world, which was definitely outside this barrier. So she was stuck here for now, without anyone she knew-not even her Pokemon.

Then again, that just meant it was like Town A all over again. And she'd made it out of there, hadn't she? In a situation that might have been even more hopeless than this, when she was so much younger. She pulled out her phone, looking at the various texts she'd been exchanging. Part of her missed the bulletin board from the Meadous, a much more physical way of exchange, but she supposed the fast replies had their own sort of charm. And she'd gotten to know some of the other people here a bit more in this way. Hopefully tomorrow or whenever classes started she'd get to know everyone a little bit more.

Now determined, she sat back up. She wasn't just going to mope around. First order of business would be to start decorating this place so that it displayed the proper Owens charm!
